Businesses purchasing advertising services also agree to the applicable commercial terms disclosed before enrollment.

4. Free Directory Access

6. Paid Advertising and Featured Listings

We may offer paid advertising packages to eligible businesses.

Sponsored promotional opportunities

Advertising fees, applicable taxes, subscription periods, and included services will be disclosed before enrollment.

7. Advertising Subscription Renewals

Automatic subscription renewal will occur only where the advertiser has expressly authorized recurring billing and the relevant terms have been disclosed.

Advertisers may cancel future renewals at any time without cancellation penalties.

Material changes to recurring subscription prices will be communicated in advance, with additional consent obtained where legally required.

8. Cancellation Policy

Advertisers may request cancellation of their directory advertising subscriptions at any time.

There are no cancellation penalties.

An advertiser may request immediate removal of the listing or continued publication until the end of the prepaid advertising period.

Cancellation of future renewals does not automatically reverse charges for services already delivered.

9. Fair Prorated Refund Policy

We aim to provide transparent and advertiser-friendly refund arrangements.

For standard prepaid directory advertising subscriptions:

Before Publication: A full refund is available if no advertising services have been delivered.

Within Seven Calendar Days After Publication: Advertisers may request a prorated refund for the unused portion of their subscription.

After Seven Calendar Days: Advertisers may request a prorated refund for unused full calendar days remaining in the prepaid subscription period.

Refunds are calculated according to the unused portion of the agreed subscription term.

Separately priced custom promotional services already completed may be excluded where disclosed in advance and legally permitted.

Approved refunds will normally be processed within 15 calendar days.

Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

Important: This refund policy applies to CafesVancouver.com advertising services, not food or beverage purchases from independent cafés.

10. Accuracy of Business Listings

Participating businesses are responsible for providing accurate information, including:

Telephone number
Website address
Operating hours
Menu descriptions
Product and service categories
Prices and promotions
Accessibility information
Photographs and logos

Businesses should promptly notify us of material changes.

We may correct, suspend, or remove inaccurate or misleading information.

11. Food Safety and Public Health

Listed cafés and food establishments are responsible for complying with applicable food safety and public health requirements.

This includes appropriate food preparation, handling, storage, sanitation, and allergen information.

CafesVancouver.com does not independently inspect cafés or certify their food safety practices.
